Unbelievably long, the continuation of the Ant-Man and the Wasp series was kept a secret. During the presentations at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 and D23 Expo 2019, the two characters were not mentioned at all, and there was no obvious sign that Marvel Studios was interested in developing the second sequel. Fortunately, when it became known that the sequel to Ant-Man and the Wasp was in the works in April 2020, that conversation drastically changed.

The year's first Marvel Studios release and the start of Phase 5 is scheduled for release in February 2023 as Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania (the first trailer for the blockbuster arrived online in October 2022). The script was written by Rick and Morty writer and co-producer Jeff Loveness, and it is once again being directed by Peyton Reed, who also served as the director of Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
